Pricing

Cheap audio is included. Expensive audio is metered.

A standard episode costs us about $0.05, so we can hand you plenty of them. The same episode in a premium or cloned voice costs us about $1.60. Nobody can give that away, so we do not pretend to.

Why some things are metered

Here is our cost sheet.

Before anything metered runs, PodDrop shows you the price and waits. No plan on this page includes unlimited premium voices or unlimited audiobooks, because at these costs an unlimited plan would either be a lie or a plan we quietly throttle.

What each kind of episode costs PodDrop to produce, and how it is sold
OutputCosts usHow it is sold
10-minute episode, standard voices~$0.05Included in your monthly allowance
10-minute episode, premium or cloned voice~$1.60Credit — $2 each, 10 included monthly on Pro and Team
Full-length book, narrated$8$15Credit — $5 per book, 2 included monthly on Pro and Team

The arithmetic, in the open: 18 premium-voice episodes would consume the entire $29 Pro subscription. That is why they are credits. Standard-voice episodes cost us cents, so Pro gives you as many as you want.

The trial

7 days and 3 episodes, with every feature switched on. Full features. Trial episodes carry a short PodDrop outro.

Before it costs you anything

Every metered job shows its price before it runs — “this book will use $5 of credits” — and waits for you to say yes.
